Put .mov files on camera for portable viewing

Hello,

Here is my goal: to watch movies/tv shows on my digital camera. IE rip a DVD then watch it on my camera on the road.

My camera makes .mov files. I can put movies made on my camera back on my camera to view later and they are fine. However, if I open these files with Quicktime Pro 7 and save them again(without changing anything), they stop working on my camera! Does the camera do .mov files differently? Why can’t I put just any .mov file on? (the ones I’ve tried are all the same resolution, FPS, etc.)

BTW, it is a Panasonic D-Snap SV-AS10S with a 512mb SD card.
