FourCC Problem - Please Check

Ok.

My friend recorded a movie on his webcam and sent me it.

The movie needs codec “0” to play.

I have checked the other boards and you claim that “0” is a fake. This is not the case. On my friends computer, the movie plays perfectly. However, on mine it does not.

Is there any solution to this? Perhaps changing the codec from “0” to something else? Or some way to make the “0” work?

Do you know what program your friend used to record his webcam? This could help determine what codec is needed.
