I downloaded a lot of anime episodes of BitTorrent, but at first I couldn’t play them at all. So I downloaded and installed Ace Mega Codecs Pack 6.01 Professional and after that they worked on The Core Media Player and BS Player Pro, but with a lot freezing. This wasn’t so bad, but recently I noticed that the sound wasn’t synchronised with the video. That’s when I discovered this site and, after reading a couple of forums, I learned that codec packs aren’t very good because they can contain a lot of useless codecs that may cause problems (e.g. freezing). Next I installed Xvid and ffdshow, but I still couldn’t play them at all neither on TCMP nor BS Player. I came back to this site and read a few more forums and learned that VLC Media Player was very good at playing .ogm files without any codecs. Now I could play them perfectly on VLC, but I have a GeForce 2 video card and so the screen is a bit dark when I play the videos, and I couldn’t change the brightness in the VLC. If someone knows what codecs I would need to play the files in BS Player or TCMP, or if someone knows how to adjust the brightness or gamma levels in VLC (it seems that when I try to change them in Preferences, they have no effect), please post an answer on this site or send me an E-mail.
