Okay, I have read the damn thread, I have tried everything suggested, nothing is working. Windows is — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — -

Anyhow, now my anger and random wording has subsided, I have tried lowering my security settings to download 75, but Windows wont let me lower them beyond medium, can anybody fix this for me please?

I also downloaded the codec pack manually, how do I install it?

Thanks folks

Hello everyone,

After extended search on the web for this codec 75 download, I found the zip file download at:

http://www.audiotag.org/codecs/voxwaremetasoundaudiocodec.shtml

I downloaded it, and extract the zip file into temp folder. Then go to that folder, and right click on the file “voxacm.inf” and select “install” option. After the installation, I am able to view the audio file that I couldn’t view earlier due to the missing of codec 75.

So I wanted to share with everyone here.

Best wishes.

Lilly.

Hey, i’m trying to play a .mpg video, and the WMP (and every player i have) asks for this “audio codec 75”, with no more explanations or details. Where do i find this codec?

It looks like our dear friend lilly is way ahead of us, she found the absolute solution that will work with any Media Player, looks like after all what the WMP is missing is a codec named VoxWare MSA..

It can be downloaded either from the address provided by her or at this:

http://www.free-codecs.com/download/VoxWare_MetaSound_Audio_CoDec.htm

at the bottom of the page there is the steps for installation. Enjoy! :-)

Thank you for your reply, Alexander!
I’m glad that the solution I shared here worked out for you. Thanks for your additional information. Hopefully, other people have enough patience to view through pages of this posting and found both of our posting to help them through this coded 75 issue. :-)

Cheers,

Lilly.

Hello everyone,

*SOLUTION FOR VIDEO/AUDIO CODEC 75 (TAG 75):
— — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — —
Here are my step-by-step instruction:

1. Open I.E browser.
2. Type in URL Address below in the Address field of the browser:
http://www.audiotag.org/codecs/voxwaremetasoundaudiocodec.shtml
3. Left-click on the link to the zip file “voxware_msa_codec.zip”.
4. At the File Download pop-up window, click Save button, and select a directory on your computer where you want to store the zip file.
5. After download is completed, go to that directory and right-click on that “voxware_msa_codec.zip” file. A list of options will display, and you need to select option “Extract to...". This will display Extract window and you can select the directory where you want to extract the content of the zip file to. To make it easy, you can just choose the same directory where you stored the “voxware_msa_codec.zip” file.
6. After extracting the zip file, go to that directory and you should see a total of 8 files below being extracted:
free-codecs.txt
msms001.vwp
mvoice.vwp
vct3216.acm
vct3216.dll
voxacm.inf
voxmsdec.ax
voxmvdec.ax

9. Make sure that you close/exit out of Windows Media Player if you have it up running already.

10. Right-click on the file named “voxacm.inf” (that I mentioned in step #8). This will display the list of options, and you should click on option “Install”. This will install codec 75 code for you.

10. After installation is completed, run Windows Media Player and execute/play your music file or video file. It should play successfully this time.
If not, restart your computer, then re-run Windows Media Player again, and play your music file or video files. This should work.

Good luck!

Lilly.
