here’s a way, allow windows media to download the codec, but don’t run it. go to your temporary internet files director & copy the voxacm.cab to somewhere else. exit windows media player. use winzip to extract the files from the .cab file & simply right-click the install.inf...
worked for me without any security tweaks.

Ive been trying to get the audio 75 codec to work and ive tried everything you have suggested, but nothing works, ive even tried downloading the codec but it did nothing.
Is there anything else you can think of?

vortigern Guest | Enabling unsigned activex controllers really does work. The codec was downloading before but i guess it wasn’t installing before lowering security. For some reason the codec off of microsoft’s website doesn’t have a signature.

Chodo Guest | Audio Codec 75. After further searching this worked for me. Search Google for voxacm.cab (this is the file associated with Codec 75)
Double click on http:/support.ninthhouse.com/troubleshoot/kb.asp?kd_id=1234
Halfway down this page you will see http://codecs.microsoft.com/codecs/i386/voxacm.cab.Hope this helps
