Hi all, hope you can help...

I’m trying to copy some south park ep’s onto a DVD using the “Make your own DVD-video” option in Nero but it keeps crahsing at various points. I have managed to create many other movies this way already but this one keeps crashing. The files are in various formats (avi, Windows Media, Real) so can Nero only convert AVI’s? Also, before I starting burning it gives me an option to convert all the files to NTSC instead of PAL - is this causing the fault?

Any help greatly appreciated!

Cheers

Hi again,

Just been reading more posts on this site and I’m confused!
I’ve already converted and burned AVI’s onto DVD, using Nero Vision Express, successfully, so is it Windows Media or Realplayer files that are causing the problem? Am I better converting the files first and then burn them and if so what apps should I use?

Thanks again

Better if you use Nero just for burning. To find a video converter just Google video converter and the list is big enough to find the right one.WinAvi is very popular but they work on a new one v7.0 so is VSO DivX to DVD was freeware now is not for free anymore also Cucusoft and so on.Convert the file separate and if you have a video ts folder use for Nero only the vob’s files.Clone DVD 2 works faster with the video ts folder same VSO Copy to dvd.The trial version of any converter may watermark your file.To find out the right convertion first open your avi with GSpot and be sure the file is ok picture and sound and after that make the convertion from Xvid or Avi or Mpeg or whatever is your file to dvd.Good Luck.
