Nero 6.6 DVD burning errors

I used to have a free version on Nero and burned many DVDs using it. One day, I started receiving SCSI Target error. I was unable to fix it and purchased the latest version of Nero and downloaded all of the updates. I am still unable to burn a DVD. I receive the following error: “the instruction at '0x006b6ce4' referenced memory at '0x016038b8'. The memory could not be 'read'." Don’t know what to do. Any help would be much appreciated. I have an HP DVD Writer 200j.
