1.GO to any folder in your computer (for instance MY computer)
2. Click on Tools
3. Click on Folder Options
4. Click on the View Tab
5. UNCHECK - Hide extensions for known file types
6. Click Apply to all folders
now the file should show up with the .bc extension at the end... JUST RIGHT CLICK AND HIT RENAME THEN DELETE THE .BC
this one worked for me

gurd Guest | Yes, lately, I’ve also found that BitLord files downloud quickly to 89.9%, then they download no more, leaving an incomplete, .bc! file ext. I have not, yet, found a way to salvage & play the incomplete download.

Teikiatsu Guest | I was wondering if there is anyway to convert them? Because I have a video I’ve been downloading that’s got to 99.1% and stopped, so hence isn’t an avi file, but an avi.bc! file. It opens in DivX and just a bit of the end credits is missing so it’s pretty much done. Is there anyway to convert it to a working avi, because Windows won’t let me change the format =[

DarkVisor Guest | Mike shawn- you cant open a file because it is in bc! format. Perhaps if you read even one of the above posts you would know what you are talking about

shq-0 Guest | ppl...... the reason renaming the file doesnt work is coz u dont have the first part of the avi file..... bit comet doesnt download the file in order... it just takes random packets....the incomplete file can be played anywhere... real, vlc, mpc..... thing is unless u dont have the first part of the avi file... the file will not be recognised.... when ur completion is only 30%.... the chances of u already havin the first parts is very slim..... but 80% above means that u’ll most likely have the beginning.... so u are able to play the file.... but since the 20% hasnt yet been downloaded... the movie wil jerk or run into loops when it encounters the parts that hasnt yet been downloaded.....
still cant figure out y this is so... hard to understand

bogno1 Guest | Guys, if you wanna remove fast the .bc! extension you can do it with total commander relay fast...
This beside:
1. GO to any folder in your computer (for instance MY computer)
2. Click on Tools
3. Click on Folder Options
4. Click on the View Tab
5. UNCHECK - Hide extensions for known file types
6. Click Apply to all folders
- the only think is that i still can’t view the file with or without .bc! extension ...
- i’ll keep trying and i’ll be back

-Jess- Guest | I didnt want to start another thread on this, so I though id just ask here. I’ve downloaded a movie and its on 89.9% and it wont download it anymore. I wanted to open it, since its most of the movie, but I don’t know how, since its unfinished and won’t complete. Does anyone know if I can or not? If so, how?
Thanks in advanced

DroppingBy Guest | what you need is, if you are using windows xp, under the menu bar choose Tools — >Folder Options — -> uncheck the box that says Hide Extension of Known files.
