People,
From all the posts that I have read no one seems to have a problem using VSO DivxToDVD. Then why ME?!!!
I have been trying to convert an AVI file that I downloaded from one of the bitTorrent sites using VSO and well I am still trying for the last two days with no result. The entire conversion takes way too long. Something like 15 hours and only half an hour worth of the avi has been converted.
At first I thought it could be because XviD codec was not installed. So installed that, still no luck. I then downloaded GSpot to check the AVI files and codecs on machine. GSpot says everything’s fine. I even read on a post that keeping Aspect and Standard on VSO at Automatic could be the cause. Changed that to Force 16:9 and Force NTSC. Still no go.
Machine config - AMD Athlon 64 3400+ with 512 MB RAM. VSO DivxToDVD downloaded from the VSO site so I assume that is the latest.
HELP!!!!

If U r a 1st timer or novice of trying 2 do some converting of movies files of all kinds then U should take a peek on this website rather than posting irrelevent question without searching the net 4 the answer that U need. This 4rum is the last resort 4 ppl who couldn’t find any answer at all 2 their solution of technical difficulties. Moreover, this is not a dumping site 4 garbage questions.

Its not personal..just wanted 2 pinpoint the default situation. Tell U what..DL winavi video converter v6.3 instead. VSO DivxToDVD is rusty when U don’t have it twin sister alongside working 2gether. VSO DivxToDVD only work perfectly with it Copy To DVD.(same company that created it.)

Thanks Topsyturvy, WinAVI went to 99% and froze, had to manually shut it down. Tried it twice. Me thinks the problem is with the AVI files that I downloaded. Log file for DivXToDVD showed a timestamp discontinuity error. Anyways thanks for the WinAVI though. Works a much much lot faster than DivXToDVD.

It’s something wrong with you file.On my 3.4 Ghz CPU computer WinAvi got only 68 FPS converting speed with the old version of DivX to DVD I got 84 FPS.That was the last freeware version. The new one I did not have a chance to try it yet.You may download GSpot or AviCodec to analyze your avi and if is a problem with Google Avi repair or video file repai and fix the file.
