Download and install k-lite codec pack. Run their codec tweak tool. Disable Nero Digital MP4/MOV parser. Now your films should burn lovely. Bear in mind they will not show in the preview window during the transcoding process but the file will burn okay to DVD. This fixed my problems and I had MAssive problems with nero.

Yes, I’m having exactly the same problem... I’ve tried to disable the “smart encoding” option, and I have no idea what patches are or how they work...

The funny thing is that I’ve now burned 4-5 DVDs with the same issues, except for the very first I made. On that disc, which consisted of 3 TV episodes, the first one worked. The other two episodes was just as out of sync though. sad

I’m using Vision 4...

Hi All

After tearing my hair out and seriously considering binning Nero has my primary burning tool, I followed a few tips from this post, tweaked a few things and finally came across a working solution. First of all follow gimps instruction to download and install the K-lite code pack from www.free-codecs.com.

Once the above is done launch the Codec Tweak Tool on the list that follows you will only have the option to enable the Nero Digital MP4/MOV parser - do not enable. You should disable the Nero MPEG-1/2/4 & AVC Decoder. This seems to have fixed all the out of sync issues I was experiencing on both XP and Vista.

Thanks Minty2577

I have also been tearing my hair out with this problem in Nero Vision and Nero Showtime recently, after numerous emails to Nero Support and trying several different things including removing K-Lite completely all to no avail.

Your fix works , Just disable the Nero MPEG-1/2/4 & AVC Decoder codecs with K-Lite Codec Tweak tool and everything is sweet. Seems like Nero doesn’t like it’s own codecs. Go figure!!!!!!

Well with my expreince... I play a movie of any using Nero as the player and the voice and video get out of sync. But if I open the same move using windows media player... Everythng is perfect... no out of sync stuff. So I figured it is something to do with the codecs of nero...

There is a simple fast fix for Audio sync, you need to disable the Nero decoding codecs ....

Find the files NeVideo.ax and NeAudio.ax (and NeVideo2.ax and NeAudio2.ax if using version 7) and rename them to NeVideo.xxx and NeAudio.xxx ...

These files should be in C:\Program Files\Common Files\Ahead\DSFilter

Solved all my audio sync problems ...

Thank you Tek!!! How simple - why is this solution not all over the web?? It did double my encoding time to two hours for a two hour disc - but who cares? I can again enjoy watching my downloaded TV vids. THANK YOU!!!

So are you supposed to change NeAudio2.ax to NeAudio.xxx or is NeAudio2.xxx fine?

why would renaming the files fix this problem?

You need to have an alternative Codec pack installed before renaming those files. I had this exact same problem since I installed the Combined Community Codec pack and it works beautifully now that I renamed those files.

I’m not entirely certain, but I think FFDShow was trying to encode the audio/video at the same time NeroVision was and that was where the errors were coming from. Since Nero can’t find those two files anymore, the other encoders are free to work on their own.

I might be totally off with that explanation, but renaming the files fixed the issue, and I’m happy with that!

I have the same problem with vision 5, but the solution above is not working. When I rename the files the program stops working. and I can’t find the the Nero codecpack in K-lite codec tweak tool to diable. is there someone who has the solution?
