willywanker Guest | All or most commercial DVD players will playback mpg/mpeg files. Burn the files onto dvd as is, pop it into the player and u should get a default menu listing from where u can select which movie u want to play. As far as avi is concerned, you’ll need a dvd player that supports avi/divx and play on that. Most divx supported players are made in asia (japan ,taiwan, china ... etc) ... (for obvious reasons). Don’t know if such players exist in US/Europe (I think Panasonic has such a player), but I think they do. If you want to convert normal avi (not divx) to mpg, u can use Peck’s Power Join (search for it on google). For divx (avi) u can use utilities from boilsoft (think it’s called AVI to DVD/SVCD/MPEG Converter. Checkout their site htp://www.boilsoft.com. U can also use Mainconcept’s MPEG Encoder, altho you’ll need a crack for it, or u can search for it on torrent listing sites. U can also search for shareware/freeware converters on zdnet.com or cnet.com Hope this helps. Cheers !
