File doesn' t play in Adobe

When importing an .avi file Adobe gives an error message “no such AVI compressor”
VirtualDub says “No audio decompressor could be found..."
I have installed AC3 filter and the movie plays great in Windows Media Player. However, still can’t import it for editing/burning on DVD
Please help

S ur nick suggest, U must b a really BIG VIDEO MANIAC. I can also guess that ur wallet must b fully loaded with BIG G...n my question is..why bother using CHEAP Adobe when U can get urself a LUXURIOUS DVD LAB PRO v1.53 4 a small peanut sum of just $199. With this programme, U can ask George Lucas 2 kiss ur S n Fuck Off!!!
