WMM2 won't save my movie

Greetings all,

I get the following error when I try to save my movie in WMM2:

“Windows Movie Maker cannot save the
movie to the specified location. Verify that the
original source files used in your movie are still
available, that the saving location is still available,
and that there is enough free disk space available, and
then try again."

I’ve tried saving to many different locations only to get the same error over and over again. All original source files are available, the saving location is still available, and I have well over enough disk space.

It happens regardless of what I’m trying to save, and how I’m trying to save it. For example, I wanted to save a short movie made out of a few AVI clips I recorded from a game. I used the wizard, and it gave the error. Now here’s the wierdest part. Just as an experiment, I tried making a movie out of a title page that is made in WMM2, yet it stil gives the error.

Does anyone have any ideas? I’m sorry if this has been asked before. Though, I did a search beforehand and found nothing, so I assume I’m the first to ask.

Did you check to see how much hard disk space you have left?

Yeah, I have enough. It’s only supposed to be 15 MB when it saves.

I think its cause of your codec thats messing it up if your like me and make amvs then go to this site if you want to uninstall all of your codecs and use this
http://www.cccp-project.net/ and click windows xp (asuming you have xp) and make sure you don’t have any hali media splitter in your bottom right corner icons cause thats what mkv converted video use,and even though there converted to avi it’ll still have mkv code soooo........huh...make sure you recoded it with divix (that what I use at least) and uninstall any codecs except for divix that might interfer with the saving or it might just be your cpu speed is too high or too low or go crazy and buy new ram. 0.o
