Andrew C-S Guest | Hello,
I noticed your problem when searching for a solution to my own...
I think your problem is the latest NVIDIA drivers (77.72), I used these drivers on my 6800 Ultra PCI-Express and it messed all videos up on any player, I didn’t try screen saver but everything was really messed up with most of the video being red.
I rolled my drivers back to 71.89 and haven’t had a single problem since.
I also noticed WMP10 locking 100% CPU usage which also stopped after the roll-back.
I see this is a late reply but hope it can still help, if not please e-mail me: trekkie_uk@hotmail.co.uk

I am looking for a way to contact NVIDIA about these issues with the latest drivers and what appear to be a few GeForce6 series cards but I can’t find any links to contact them, does anyone know of any?
Thanks

KwayZeeyT Guest | Just an FYI, I had the same problem with versions 77.72 and 77.77 of the drivers. My card is an Albatron FX5600 EQ w/ 256M RAM. It affected all of my players (WM/QT/WinAmp/VideoLan). After rolling back to 71.89 everything is fine.
