HDTV-LOL.AVI or HDTV-TMS.AVI on OS X

HDTV-LOL.AVI or HDTV-TMS.AVI will not work in OSX Tiger on my Powerbook!

Ok, how do I fix this? I’ve tried everthing. And it is not the files being corrupt, I downloaded many hdtv, and none have worked.

I downloaded Mplayer. Doesn’t work.

I downloaded VLC. Doesn’t work.

I downloaded Xvid codec. Doesn’t work.

There are no mega codec packs for mac.

Can someone tell me how to fix this? I’m running Tiger, on a Powerbook at 1.67 ghz.
