PrzemeQ22 Guest | I use RealPlayer10 to play *.rmvb files and I have a movie (rmvb) with text (txt). How to open movie with txt file in RealPlayer ? Is this possible ? Should I find other program ?

kraziebone Guest | hey i have vlc media player its a great player and plays tons of file extentsions but when i try to play this rmvb file it won’t work well it plays but u don’t see the screen i can hear sound is there a dll? or something i can add to vlc media player... bkuz i dont want to download any other player thx...

Actually installing Real Alternative and opening an rmvb file by manually pointing BSplayer to it can make it possible to play them in BS.

Mad Mac Guest | hey ppl! I just solved the problem in my powerbook g4 .. i just opened garageband, played a file, closed it and startet the realplayer.. and then it worked.. maybe i could help someone with that.

Hoodie Guest | instead of goin to inernet sites to internet sites and downloadin all these stupid single files and stuff all u need is one file and u will be able to play any single movie file with just one download i got this file on my pc u install it and its called K-Lite Codec Pack and it installes a player called Media Player Classic if u emails me i can send it free to u but it will play every and any movie file mp3 file mp4 file even plays flash files u name a file this will probbly play it lol but email me if u want it and it’ll solve all of ur playin files probblems lol well the music and movie ones :P lol oh and lol it’ll add Codec to ur normal windows media player and quicktime player to so emails me if u want it peace.

jasper Guest | wel i came along a *.rmvb file and I had no problems playing it with windows media player Classic(it HAS to be CLASSIC) and Matroska pack (just dld and install and you have almost every codec you need to play any file you want xD

I don’t play .rmvb on an xbox, but I did use mplayer. Downloading http://www1.mplayerhq.hu/MPlayer/releases/codecs/rp9codecs-win32-20050115.tar.bz2 and placing them into the mplayer\codecs\ folder worked great for playing .rmvb.

Entree Rep: 0 Joined: 04 Jul 2006 Posts: 9 OFFLINE | you can download a codec to play *rmvb, if you do not want to borther it, you can also convert the *rmvb file to others which are watchable on your real player, if you have a converter at your hand. when i encounter the problem, i simply convert the *rmvb file to wmv with imtoo mpeg encoder and play the converted file on my player, and there was no inconvenience to do so as the mpeg encoder is of swift speed.
