In your case I suspect it’s more than that. I don’t remember the exact date Apple released QuickTime 7, but since then H.264 videos have been popping up. The codec isn’t available for QuickTime 6. And since QuickTime 7 for Windows wasn’t available yet (at the time of your post - I think...), there isn’t a QTA for that version either. One possible attempt would be to try installing QT7 preview, and see if it works. (I know QT6 and QTA can be on the same system together at the same time, but I don’t know about QTA and QT7) |
