burning movies on a cdrw

can anyone help ? i have avi downloaded movies that i want to burn to my cdrw , i got it to work once and now forget how i done it . i have cucusoft converter and alcohol 120 to burn , i have trying converting avi files to vcd and burn them but after burn is complete nothing shows up on the disc . please go slow for i am new to this and don’t much understand but am trying to learn thanks for your kindness with my ignorance toots

Cucusoft is a nice converter but with version 5.12 and after did not work very well on my computer.Alcohol 120 is very complex and more than just a burning software.You may check writing methode when you make a cd and be sure is a checkmark on write if is on simulation is not burning or if you check both first is the simulation and after that the burning.If you want here is a link to VSO and download a freeware converter very fast and simple Divx to DVD and download copy to dvd shareware.When you open the interface for the converter is a checkmark for burn with copy to dvd so after converting is going to burn your dvd.If your burner is just cd Nero is one of the best burning software but if you know how to use Alcohol is not bad just the emulation is not my style I like Daemon Tools better.Here is the link to VSO:http://www.vso-software.fr/
