problem with laptop screen

Hi guys,

I have a problem with my IBM thinkpad 2647 laptop. While updating its bios, the screen became distorted. I even cannot see the start menu. I attempted to solve the problem via display setting. But, it did not help out. What should I do to have it fixed?

Start by seeing if there is a restore point for you to bring the computer back a day or two. And check your bios when it boots up and look around to see if something is wrong, or selected the wrong settings for you. Did you update the Bios with the correct one?

Thank you for posting your suggestion. I did download the correct bios for this machine type via IBM web site.
I eventually solved the problem by establishing a new operating system, windows xp.
