I’m trying to play a video (.avi) clip sent to me from a friend in Korea. The sound comes through fine, but no video. I tried to outsmart it by embedding it in PowerPoint and got the message that the decompression codec Vids ES07 is missing. Any ideas?

[copied from thread 1220]

That’s the EyeStream 7 codec from eyeball chat. Download the program from eyeballchat.com

Notes: You don’t need to make an eyeball ID or anything to download this. The only trouble with this is if you uninstall the program the codec will be gone too. I don’t know of any standalone program that will install just the codec. One thing you can do to keep it from annoying you at startup is right click the eyeball icon in your system tray choose settings and uncheck “run eyeball when i start my computer” and that shouldn’t bother you anymore.
