I am having problems with GTA SA. The game was working fine and I wanted to do a video. I downloaded a program like snag it from techsmith.com Ever since then my game will not start. How can I roll back to my original codecs? I believe that is the problem. I have done a system restore etc to no avail. All I want on my PC is my original codec that comes with windows.

Restore point should have done it. But if it didnt then just install “ACE MEGA CODECS” and thats all the codecs you will need for some time to come. Restore point would be your best bet, once updated it overwrites your original. Does that program come with a back-up section for when this crap happens. If it does uninstall and it should ask you if you would like to restore the original files. If all else fails uninstall “snagit” and “GTA SA” and reinstall and it SHOULD fix it, but no promises.
