Winavi Freezing When Converting

I have been using WinAVI for a few weeks, and never had a problem. But recently everytime I try to open any file, after I chose where to save the converted files, the program freezes when it starts converting, but if I right click on my toolbar I see the little disc that moves when it’s converting moves, then it freezes again. I have unintstalled the program and restarted and tried a few other things anyone know what it could be or have the same problem?
