Consumer Guest | i was lookin around the forums and i wasnt able to find an answer on this. So, is it possible to burn a dvd pc game onto several cds and play it? the game i wanna burn is Act of War: Direct Action, which is a dvd-rom game, but i dont hav a dvd burner, only cd burner. So will it work?
and also how about movies, can u burn a dvd movie onto a cd, and if u can do that, will u hav to use several cds to fit the movie onto the cds or can u compress the movie so it will play on 1 cd (even though the quality will be worse), or do u hav to option to do both? thx

NRen2k5 Guest | If the game requires the DVD to be inserted in the drive to be able to play the game, then no, you won’t be able to play it.
However there’s nothign to stop you from making an image file and then doing a binary split on it to archive it on a collection of CD’s.
But we’re not talking about backing the game up here, are we? You downloaded it... ? Why not just buy it?

just a guy Guest | you could just mount the dvd image in alcohol 120% and install it from there. then if you need to have cd in the drive just mount the image of the game in alcohol... you dont even have to burn the game to cds
