Why do most movie rips first come out on vcd (2 Discs) and is it possible to put onto a dvd-r ?

They make two disks to make it easier to download. But its not impossibe to put it on a dvd. Just check out the forums here and 1000 of ppl ask and answer your question. But basicly just convert and join the files and burn.
