Guest1232 Guest | Sounds like a hacked memory issue. In short the firmware in player had its drive partition hacked to read as a 512 meg when it was a 256 meg. There all over eBay. Look at www.mympxplayer.org for more info, bad sellers list, ect.

Hong Kong CRAP.
Dude - did you format in Windows? Did you format in FAT-32 or NTSC? Try using FAT-16 instead. I have no idea if that will help as I have never seen one of these contraptions but it is worth a try.

Guest1232 Guest | To copy files in windows you do the following.
(Note: some of the mp3 players now have a media manager on the cd.)
1: Goto your files, select those to copy. Right click the file, select copy not cut, and then open the usb flash drive (player) select the mp3 folder or make one, then right click and select paste to copy the file into it.
If your going to copy a bunch of files copy them to a new folder on your hard drive first then copy to the player in the same way.
(Older versions of the S1mp3 type player (Most common ipod clone) have a 99 file per folder limit. V9 firmware should not have this limit. Rockchip and other chipset players should not have this limit.)
Formating: Either use the tool on the CD or right click, select property’s, select format, full.
Fat works for players 2 GB or lower, fat 16 for players over 2gb. NTFS is not supported.

synesis5 Guest | I recently purchased an Ipod nano “clone” 2GB Mp3/Mp4 player off ebay for $29us, from Hong Kong. Everything displayed in chinese and there was really no way to figure out how to change it. I went online to a chinese dictionary and matched up the character for “language” and “english”. It worked.
Directions: If you have a nano look-alike 3rd generation, go to menu. The chinese characters locate on left while icon shows on right. Order should go-music, movie, record, voice, FM, photo, Ebook, game, system. Select system. The third one down should be language. Select. Second one should be enlish. 2 Chinese characters. First one looks like a man with a hat, second one looks like a fish standing up. Select and everything should instantly change to english.
Hope this helps anyone.
