I recently bought a DVD rewriter for my PC. I took out my old CD writer and put in the New DVD rewriter. when i went into 'my computer' after my PC installed the new hardware the E drive which should of been the dvd rewriter was not there? I was wondering if anyone could help me. I have a Athlon 833Mhz PC and have windows XP. would it have anything with the PC requirement?

If you have a dvd drive install on your computer play with the jumpers from the back of your dvd drive and dvd writer and set them for dvd drive (ROM) as a slave and the dvd writer as a master.Plug all the connections and when you restart the computer the Windows have to find the new hardware if it does not go to control panel/add hardware and follow the instructions.Have the Windows CD ready just in case.
