fraps video quality problems

I use fraps to capture game footage but when i join videos through windows movie maker, the game looses its quality .The quality is even more bad when I burn it as a mini dvd through nero.I make the movie as High Quality Video (NTSC)720 x 480 resolution.And use winavi to convert the wmv file to vob.
