I have a Canon digital camera and it takes movies in the avi/motion jpeg format. My problem is I need to convert the avi format into mov so I can upload my video to the kodak gallery.

I have tried avi2mov, but I get audio and no video when I play it. Any idea why?

I’m hoping there is a free, easy to use conversion tool out there that can help me. BTW, I’m on a PC platform using XP.

Thanks

Have you tried using Canon’s Zoombrowser EX program? It should have come packaged with your Canon digital camera. You can download the latest version (upgrade) and the software manual from the Canon USA website. The manual will explain how you can edit and save the files as either M-JPEG AVI or (Qucktime)MOV file formats. Good Luck.

i have a mac. i take video snips that come thru as .mov and open and play in quicktime. i somehow made an error and the .mov was changed to another format. it shows up as playing in quictime but there is no sound and the movie plays in just one or two seconds so i see only that portion of the clip. is there a way to convet it back to .mov and get the entire video with sound.
