Let me try to explain this very clearly to everyone. I have been spending hours trying software to burn a dvd to dvd. First DVDXCOPY which worked ok somtimes, but after much searching and understanding, this process works everytime. First, you need two tools (They are both freeware): dvdshrink and dvddecrypter. When burning a dvd, run it in dvdshrink, just to make sure that it is within the size of your disk. To do this:

Open Shrink

Choose “Open”

Then select the drive from which the dvd to be burned is located.

Now click ok, and it will analyze it in about 10 minutes or less.

When done, click backup dvd.

Choose save to your hard disk as an .iso file to be burned in dvddecrypter.

When done saving, dvddecryptewr should automatically open in write mode. Insert a blank dvd into your burner drive and make sure that that drive is selected in the drop down menu.

Finished

Note: If dvddecrypter does not automatically open, do this to burn:
Open DVDdecrypter. ON the menu bar, choose Mode -ISO - Write.

Then click browse. Find the file where you saved the .iso from DVDSHrink. Then insert your blank disc, and burn!

And for the record, as if not common sense, if you already have the .iso file saved, you can just skip ahead to the part under “Note” to burn it to DVD.

AFter many hours of reading online ways, I have found that this is the easiest.

PS DVDdecryptor can read and burn the DVD, but it cannot shrink it.

PLease let me know any success you may have, and if I left anything out. Peace, Jared

I’m a little confused. I thought the original question was how to burn an ISO to a DVD.

As the user said he has Nero, why wouldn’t you (in Nero), just click RECORDER - BURN IMAGE and point to the iso image?

Is there a quality or compatability issue I’m not aware of?
That’s the way I’ve always done it.
(and no, I don’t have Sith; haven’t seen any of the “newer” three SW flicks yet)(yes, i live in a cave, I know, I know smiley

Thanks for any response,

Flash

I’m also confused - the question was how to convert the ISO to 16:9 widescreen, since the ISO file is incorrect. The file came with instructions to convert using DVD Shrink and DIVXtoDVD, but I keep getting timestamp discontinuity errors with DIVXtoDVD. This method was described as the only way to do the conversion without screwing up the sound.

So since DIVXtoDVD doens’t work - are there any other ideas? I’m not real clear if these other posts are in regards to the original post or a later one.

Well I had the same problem how to run an IMG file or ISO files
very simple just the file extension IMG to ISO.
Install WinRar... and extract your ISO File....then you’ll see ur self the result....best of luck.
