Manas Ranjan Behera Guest | Hi,
As the file information in an incomeplete divx file(AVI File) is incorrect, you may need to fix it. There is a software called DivFix. Use that to rebuild your index of the AVI file.
DivFix can be obtained form this link:

Enjoy.

brendan Guest | Like Bono said Neuview!!!
After downloading and trying just about every other program to play incomplete avi files and getting really frustrated this is the one!!
It does has its advertising on the screen with the demo version but full version is cheap.

VikingBoy Guest | I allready have VLC media player, this works great playing almost a 100% of all incomplete avi files but there are sill some files only Neuview can play. It just had been great if someone out there knew a way to get the full version for free, but i think i just have to pay. Thanks a lot anyway!! =)

Xiaopang Guest | thanks to bono for suggesting neuview player! i am a devoted vlc-user, but even vlc crapped out on the destroyed avi-files i tried to play...repair with virtualdub had even less success. vlc just played the first half...neuview played the whole file after a short analyzation

tingatoo Guest | You can play and make incomplete .avi files into “complete” files by first using a program called “Trunk”. It’s free, just use the trim function and trim a few hundred k from the end. Then use “AVI Preview” program - load it into the program then select SAVE AS.
You will wind up with a non truncated, fully functional file that can be played with Windows media player or any other player.
