DC Guest | Hello all. I have downloaded some movie files in rmvb format. Some of these movie has dual audio in it. I can play it on my PC by using the left or the right speaker only. But I want to burn these movie onto a DVD. I can convert these files to VOB and burn it on a DVD. However a standard dvd player will not let me switch between the different language. Please HELP!!!!!!!!!!!

TopsyTurvy Guest | There r 2 types of software that r capable of converting RMVB file(RMVB mean Real Media Variable Bitrate). 1 is WinAvi Video Converter n the other is DVD Santa. Both of them r shareware n U can try them out 4 free b 4 buying.

yea Guest | We need to know how to solve the problem on the audio. Is there anyway to extract one of the audio before converting to DVD ?? Basically, I only need one of the audio only.

DC Guest | I am using WinAVI to convert the files. But with in the software, I didn’t see any options on selecting different audio during the conversion. Like Yea said, we need something that can remove one of the audio from the VOB file after is being converted.

I have the same problem - I want to remove one of the dual audio when playing on my dvd player. It works ok on my pc but I cannot switch the dual audio off on the dvd player.

DC Guest | All, I discovered a way to play on a regular dvd player with dual audio on a dvd. I remove one of the audio cable from the back of the dvd player. This is only a temporate solution so far. If anyone knows the way to remove the one of the audio during the conversion, please post the solution. Thanks

Then I used VirtualDub to full processing mode and used the conversion option to select the right channel to have just cantonese audio. (In most cases, it’s the left channel which is cantonese) After the process, I saved it as an .avi file and converted this to dvd with winavi. Worked fine but a lengthy process! Also, conversion from to .avi is huge, like 9GB!!!
If anyone finds a program which does it all, please let us know!!!

gobby Guest | I just EO Video to convert my rmvb files to wav files (audio part of the conversion) after which I use TMpegnc to convert the rmvb file (input video file) and the wave file (input audio file) into Mpeg file.

beto234 Guest | use winavi converter to convert rmvb to mpeg 2,
use Tmpgenc dvd author to convert mpeg 2 to dvd standard.(when you add a file, there’s an option will ask you to choose which audio to convert, stereo or bilingual, choose bilingual then you will be able to have left or right channel when you are playing the dvd.)

SOLUTION DUDE Guest | Just winavi convert the movie to dvd first. Then use nero recode to remove the audio... Then use Ultra Audio Ripper to rip the sound from the dvd file. And then USE Cool Edit pro to edit the sound file — -copy the channel of the sound that you want, and then paste it in a new file and then save it. Then use Nerio Vision to burn your dvd. But before u press burn,
REMEMBER that u select the DVD file that doesn’t have sound....
After you imported the soundless DVD file in Nerovision, Go edit mode,
In edit mode, u can add the new sound that you just made...
Well, this is my solution to the dual audio thing, HOPE IT helps...

Wow Thanks. This worked like a charm. My only suggestion is choose compression as Divx. Then it won’t come out as a 9GB monster Movie file XD
