DVD compatibility problems with home player w/tv

Hello having problems getting avi’s to play on my home tv/dvd setup when burning with movie factory 2. plays fine on the computer, but on home tv 2 different problems:

1. 1 video frame every 10 seconds while audio plays fine.

2. on recent slideshows, normally 2 seconds each now pops out like 60 slides in about 3 seconds.

I have no bad or corrupted frames as i used the utility to check it. I have made video and slideshows that worked before, and I have reinstalled as well.
