AlexHall Guest | Ok i keep having this problem over and over again when trying to burn my AVI’s. I Convert to VOB and IFO with winAVI which is really easy, then i drag it into my nero VIDEO_TS folder. When i click start burn it goes until like 3% (or if im lucky all the way up to 8) of the writing disc part and then my cd tray will be pushed open. I push it closed, and then like a minute later Nero is like “Your burn failed for no reason except that your white and i hate white people...." Yea it must be racist or sumthin, but i need somebody to point me in the right direction with this problem.

jensonclio Guest | hi well after u have converted your files wiyh winavi put the folder which should be DVD_0 into a prog called dvd shrink that will recode and shrink it then if u have nero 6 or better installed it will automatically burn it 4 u and i garantee you shouldnt have any probs playing them in most dvd players

jensonclio Guest | to empire
if you r not converteing them first 2 a vob file then it wont work anyway avi and mpeg will not go onto disk unless u copy them as images but even that is piontless because they wont play so u need 2 use a converting prob to convert your files first then put them 2 disc

Empire_ian Guest | Um...
first what is a vob file and how do i go about getting one?
Second why whould nerovision necognise avi for makeing the movie if it wont burn? Am I the only person who expects theise things to make sence!?

jensonclio Guest | hi empire
vob files r dvd files they will burn onto disc through normally a video ts folder also nero will reconise the files nero seems 2 do that alot but it wont burn them 2 disc as they are not in dvd format best bet is 2 convert them i presume they are avi files or maybe mpeg with winavi converter that turns them into vob files (dvd files) then run them through dvd shrink and along as u have nero installed (nero6 or better) they should automatically burn the files 2 disc when dvd shrink has finish encoded them

Empire_ian Guest | Will it work without dvd shrink?
| 13 May 2005 09:52 am |
Empire_ian Guest | Oh and also is vob the same as dvd?
| 13 May 2005 03:08 pm |
jensonclio Guest | it might work without dvd shrink but dvd shrink is a freeware program anyway just google search 4 it then istall it
and yes vob files are technical term for dvd files

Empire_ian Guest | Is there any other way because I am not in a position where i can get winavi? also are you talking about nero visions Make a movie mode or some more simple form of burning?

jensonclio Guest | hi m8 others ways but if u download winavi website then get the key/crack 4 a previous post m8 from this forum it wont cost u a thing 4 the program

Tekwiz2001 Guest | I read the above about how easy winavi made the vob and ifo files... at that point use clonedvd2
which should do the rest.. you don’t drag the files... you just point to the folder and clonedvd2 will set it up for you.
You should be able to complete your goal
by using clonedvd2 I also use nero as a burning program. I have been burning vob and ifo files for audio dvd that I made using audio dvd creator. If winavi gives you the vob and ifo files clonedvd2 will do the rest.

Marcus Aurelius Guest | Nels I don’t know what you try to do and why you’re using Nero Recode. If you want to re author a DVD makes sense but if you want to make a dvd from a video file you have to use Vision. Here is a link with some screenshots with Nero Recode and how to use it maybe is going to help you. http://www.k-probe.com/backup-newly-release-movie-DVD-DVDFAB-Decrypter-VobBLanker-Nero-Recode-2.php
