Michael Guest | Hi!
I hope someone can help with this problem.
I can hear sound on all avi files, but when i convert them to
mpg, the resulting file has no sound. this happens with about one
in every three files i convert. codecs are installed, as gspot proves.
Thanks!
Michael

Do these files have either *VBR (Variable Bitrate)-MP3* or *AC3* audio streams.
- Note that 2 part (700+700M AVI files usually have AC3 audio.

Michael Guest | Thanks for your kind reply!
Yes. TMPGEnc, how did you know?
I thought that was THE convrting program to use.
I would guess there are both types (VBR and MP3)
i can hear them when in AVI form, but when converted, sound just is not there, though the
sound file is recognized by tmpgenc.
Regards,
Michael.
