does anyone know how to use the fourcc change program available at http://www.inmatrix.com/files/avic_download.shtml

I need to change from xvid to divx so i can run my files on a standalone divx/dvd player.
Everytime i try, the sound works fine, but the screen is a multicoloured mess!!
Anyhelp would be great
thanks

Changing a fourcc for compatibility doesn’t just mean changing the fourcc (let me elaborate). XviD and DivX are different flavors of MPEG-4, and MPEG-4 has specifications on encoding based on levels, profiles, and other things. Therefore even if you change the fourcc, but the level/profiles don’t match the ones your standalone divx player is capable of decoding, it won’t work.
