After cutting and converting the audio of divx doesn't sync the video anymore

Can anyone help me please, becaus I don’t know exactly what te problem might be.

For a project I’m cutting peaces out of divx movies (in windows moviemaker and/or powerdirector pro, but after exporting the sound doesn’t sync the video.. it is slower.

I think the problem lies in the fact that the framerate differs. (I use 25fps) but it might also be that the codecs don’t quite correspond

How can I fix this, without endless rendering periods and masses of storageroom?
