Hello,
The “wmv and mpg lock for non-members and play for members” is full project
already, because I don’t have any idea to “lock” a video file.

1. We have wmv and mpg files on the website, visitors can download the file
to their hard disk, but they must signup to get a member
ID(username/password) to play that files use Microsoft Windows Media Player
, if they don’t have usernmae/password, they can’t play the files.
2. It’s necessary to keep a restriction on the downloaded files too.
3. System use Linux & PHP & MySQL now
4. We don’t have any streaming server on this server.

For example, I paid money for the member of a website from 200501~200503,
therefore today I can’t play all files downloaded from that site, because my
member status was expired.
Deos it better to add “Codec” to the video files?

If any one know please help
