CWell1337 Guest | Ok, I recorded a few things using an ATI video card onto my hard drive. The standard format is *.vcr and in order to use the videos in Windows Movie Maker it requires me to use another video format.
So I convert to MPEG2 without a problem. The files open and play and everything just fine. Then when I try to import the files into windows movie maker it gives me this error message:
The file C:\..........\5.mpg cannot be imported because the codec required to play the file is not installed on your computer. If you have already tried to download and install the codec, close and restart Windows Movie Maker, and then try to import the file again.
I don’t understand, if I can play the videos without a problem doesn’t that mean I have the proper codec installed? HELP!!! |
