Writing dvd_0 folder to DVD

Ok, I have coverted my .avi file to the correct type of file for a DVD by using winAVI. I now have a folder called dvd_0, with two folders in it called AUDIO_TS and VIDEO_TS. Now all I need to know is how to burn them onto a DVD. I have Nero, but it says it is too big to burn onto the DVD, how can I make it smaller?
