This is an open challenge to anyone that can help me witha software called FlipAlbum 5.5CD (Build 5.5.0.173). Our photographer stiffed us and will not give us any pictures off the software. He wants us to fork over another $2,500.00, I told him to F’OFF….

I can view the pictures off the CD, but can’t save to disk or print. I’ve tried copying the files off the CD to disk, I can see miniature images of the pictures and the larger files associated with each, but can’t open, need a password.

Do we have any takers, don’t have any money, but you can be this FIRST to claim you’ve broken this SOFTWARE for a good cause….

Hey man - I got the exact same problem. The shitty thing is that they encrypt these, and you know how hard it is to decrypt stuff that’s a 'black box'.

If you hear anything - let me know - I’m interested in the same thing, and if I hear anything - I will post.

Download a screen capture app like, Screen Grab Pro.. Since flipbooks disables the typical print screen mode you need an app. Screen capture your images then open Paint and just paste images there.. Re-save and there ya go.

Please tell me your photographer didn’t use a watermark.. That would just be too funny.

Have an update! Our photographer was convinced (by me) to give us a CD with the real images! Also, using screen cap software is stupid since you get a terrible resolution for the photo. Good luck man!

I tried the screen pro also. It worked great! It took me awhile to figure it out. I could never get the timer to set to 0 (I didn’t have that option) and I really don’t know what that did anyway, but I got it to work.

If you cheap Pricks keep stealing from the photographers You are going to see us start to charge big up front fees with no prints just the shoot. Sitting fee for a high school kid will be $400.00 U.S. Wedding $4000.00 up front! We photographers have always got the shit end of the stick from our clients. Spend half a day shooting a high school senior and we charge only a token sitting fee of say $25.00 bucks hoping we will sell a few prints to make enough money to feed the kids and pay the rent. Who the works for half a day anymore to only get paid $25.00.
And have the studio overhead as well.
You Assholes will start seeing big up front camera fees very soon matter of a fact it is now starting to happen now. Fuck you all. Thieves!

Let me get this straight. You are charging $25 for a sitting fee and “hoping to sell a few prints”. Man, your business approach is totally wrong. If you charged a reasonable rate for your sitting fee and then made a small charge for reprints, you’d probably sell more. Also,If you are so bothered about your work getting stolen, why not just give the client low res images?

No reson to post in such an unprofessional manner either, you are cheapening the image people have of photographers

I can see why the photographer is pissed.
Yes you will see camera charges go way up with people cheating the photographer like this.
You may not be able to understand all the costs involved with running a studio but it is very high.
I think photographers will simply charge an hourly fee for his time and the use of his studio and equipment then you will get an un edited CD of your photos. most likely you will have to start paying the pros about $200 per hour or more to defray his costs and cover a wage for the photographer. Then all you will have is a unretouched set of photos on a CD. Hope you all know how to get great photos out of that CD. Other wise you can pay someone to do all that to. I think you will find in the end photographers were working very cheap per hour when you could steal the work and get them to work for dirt.
Them days are ending fast.

I understand all your points but you really should find out what you are getting up front before coughing up a pile of dosh. That said, I do think prints are over the top pricewise considering you can buy a printer and do a pretty decent job for a hundred quid or so. If photographers realised this people would be more accepting of their fees. Anyway having just been bitten by a studio (I paid a good amount for a short length of studio time) and being asked to pay 45 quid for a 5” x 7” print I tried the software, cracking! Cheers!!
