My folder which is a full disk(4.35Gcool contains two BUP files, two IFO files, and five VOB files. Are you guys saying that Nero 6 will burn these files into a DVD that will work in my DVD player ok?

I just used Nero Recode that was included in nero premium. It seems to work fine. just tell it what folder the VOB files are in and hit burn. Works like a top......

Hey, I used dvd decrypter, turned off file splitting, used ifo I mode, and only chose one audio format. Hence, I have the barebones of what is needed to play a movie. However, I do not know how to burn my one ifo file and my one vob file to play on a dvd player.

any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks

You can join the three dvds into one movie by using movie joiner and then burn to a normal dvd by using Nero burner.

IMGburn is probably what you’re looking for here.

Here is the solution to having VOB files without the accompanying IFO, BUP files. Or, if you have damaged IFO or BUP files.

1) Download IFOEDIT. It is a tiny appliction and is free

2) Run IFOEDIT and click on the button at the bottom that says Create IFOs.

3) Select the 1st VOB file in the series that you have saved

4) Click OK

5) It will take a little while depending on the speed of your system, however, it will analyze all of the VOB files in your directory and create the necessary IFO and BUP files.

6) You can now burn your DVDs the regular way.

i did that and i got no change. It was like i didnt even do anything, it still had the vob files there but no ifo or bub files.

You don’t need ISO and BUP files to run VOB ones, just number them all in sequence, ie, Mum’s birthday 1, Dad’s birthday 2...As many numbered files to make up your CD or DVD. Most burners, like Nero accept sequential VOB files.

what if i had about 10 tv random clips converted them using a converter of some sort how would a make the ifo files for those and still make them play in home player ..i have tried to rename them so they look like this
vts_1_0
vts_1_1
vts_1_2
but both my home dvd players will only play the frist clip and it wont read the others so its like i only have one chapter when i have 10 any ideas??

I think you miss-understood johnsmiths’s last post about a FREE burning utility... He asked about FREE utilites not Ones that require you to pay for after 30 days etc...

No good if you want to play the resultant files on a dvd player, the only type of DVD structure that can handle files larger than 2 gig is not compatible with most dvd players, the main reason that I know of to rip a dvd without spanning to 1 gig chunks is to use the resultant vob file sd the source file to create another format such as avi divx xvid mpeg4 etc
