soniq Guest | THANK YOU CONSTANTINUS!!!!!!!
I do not know how you narrowed this down, but I am eternally grateful to you, and to global public packet-switched networks for allowing me to find this resolution to my infuriating problem (premiere won’t launch with core flac enabled.)
For a whole day I’ve been answer-seeking, on the phone with support (whom BTW has no knowledge of this fix, but will soon,) and FINALLY, I disable the core FLAC as you indicated and boom. ALL is well.
Looks like I’m not alone on this one. The joy of this post just keeps on giving......
Thanks again!!!!
Soniq

I had the same problem - Premiere Pro 1.5 would stop starting at CompilerVfw.prm.
In the Start menu, I went to the “Ace Mega Codecs Pack” group, started “Ace Mega Codecs Pack Dashboard”, went to the “Active Codecs/Filters” tab, to the “Core” branch (they are in alphabetical order), and unchecked “CoreFlac Audio Codec 0.1.0.0”, then clicked on the “Apply ALL Current Settings” button at the bottom. It takes a few moments until it finishes applying the settings (it says “please wait” on the button you just pressed), then you can close the “Ace Mega Codecs Pack Dashboard” and start Premiere - it worked for me.
Oh god I could just kiss you. I’ve been struggling with this problem for months, Adobe help forums didn’t help, Microsoft forums didn’t help, video editing friends didn’t help... then I stumble onto this post completely by accident and it solves all my problems in one foul swoop.
Email me your address, a carton of whatever beer you drink is on the way.

zotrules Guest | After installing acemcp$, macromedia flash8, fireworks, itunes, quicktime and God knows what else, don’t work anymore. a thorough uninstallation of the pack solves nothing at all, actually, it never uninstalls completely. the registry becomes a heap of garbage. tons of useless .dll-s still lurk in computer. system restore doesn’t solve the problem no more. indeed, c:\program files\ace** folder still remains even after the system restore. i guess the uninstallation has removed some vital dll-s and has left tons of junk instead.

Andish Guest | Hi, I recently installed ACE CoDec Mega Pack 6.3.911.0 I installed it on the “profesional” setting, then checked the “CoDecs” box. Everything has worked fine except I can no longer run Adobe Premiere. Whenever I start up Premiere Pro 2.0, it not working even not make pop-up.
If I uncheck CoDecs and Filters in the Ace Mega CoDecs Pack Dashboard, all of the compilers and such load but Premiere not working. I disabling 3ivx and core audio codecs but it steel not worked. When I uninstall the ACE Mega CoDecs pack Premiere works fine again. Does anyone know how I can have Ace Mega Pack on work but also have Premiere Work?

Extremehelper Guest | you know if you also have FFDShow installed go to Start>All Programs>FFdshow>Configuration
and disable all the supported codecs and then adobe should be able to run any video...
and uninstall AC3filter if you have it..
thank you
