please help Guest | i’ve downloaded tons of movies and they all work fine but when i try to go and burn them, wmp says it doesn’t recognize the file .avi. what can i do? i’m sure it’s something simple but i’ve put 3 days into trying to figure out what i’m not doing right. please help!!!!!!

I know that I have trouble getting alot of avi. files to play right on WMV,So I watch them on my DIVX player. What I usually do is to convert the avi. to mpg. so I can burn it to a couple of CD-R’s.
It dosen’t play in all DVD players,But it does play in the newer ones.

ffoeg Guest | You can’t use WMP as a substitute for CD burning software. It will not burn anything to CD as a file to my knowledge. All it burns is audio CDS. Get Nero Express, Winamp and Mozilla Firefox. Quit using Microsoft programs. You will have a lot less problems.

BigPussy Guest | In order 2 play an AVI DivX/Xvid file..burn it s a data on CD-R or DVD VOB 4mat. Only standalone DVD player with DivX decoder can play a AVI data file.
