Regular Rep: 0 Joined: 14 Nov 2003 Posts: 615 OFFLINE | DVL isn’t a codec, they’re a release group (stands for D igital V ideo L abs), who use XviD to encode video content.
Check your video using The Faimous One’s Codec Finder:

Next, either install the latest stable build of Xvi
(XviD-04102002-1.exe (411kb))

Or use 3ivX. 3ivX should work fine to decode both DivX and XviD files, but it needs to be configured and installed correctly:
