The easiest way to change the .img file to .iso:
Try to open the file in the IrfanView, press F2,and in the lower window, you change the extension to .iso. That’s all, folks!

I agree this works everytime.

-IMG to ISO to AVI

Step 1 - Rename x_movie_x.IMG to X_movie_x.ISO
Step 2 - Use a DVD to AVI converter of your choiceb (DivX Player will be able to burn to disc for you)

— -If your DVD player only reads AVIs, it’s not a DVD Player, its a DivX player.

I need to convert from .IMG to a pc-executable movie file, like .MPG, etc. or better yet, I would like to play the .IMG file off my pc. The reason is I want to verify whether the movie has closed captioning- if not I don’t want a the DVD!

I skip all that waste of time and just burn it with ImgBurn 2.4.0.0 which is the best program to be using for burning any image format anyway.

You should try downloading a program called DVDMfix it is for coverting img into properly working formats, such as iso. rar. qpo ims. dfn. etc. It also removes bugs, and it compresses the image to much a much lesser amonut of Gbites
