VCD wont play on my dvd player

ive finally worked out how to put vcd onto cd and be able to watch on dvd players, it plays in my sisters dvd player but not mine, is there any way i can get it to work on my dvd player? or any program that can make my dvd player think the cd is actually dvd? thanks

No. If your DVD player does not recognize VCD, it will not play it. You could compare VCD vs VCD2 formats, but just burning the mpg or avi on a CD is just as likely to work as VCD anyway. Try that. What you really need is a new DVD player (or a TV out card for your computer) sorry to say.
