certain AVIs stop playing at certain point after burning to DVD

I recently consolidated some video files from multiple CDs to a single DVD, and everything seemed to be fine, they checked out in the GSpot video analysis utility and everything, but some of the files (there are 24 burned on the disc) will play like a minute in, then close. And when I try to check the said files individually (not a batch check), it says it can’t open them due to copy protection...why is this? the original files on the CDs play fine, I would think if there was a copy protection issue, it would have come up when I originally burned the files...and I didn’t change any settings while burning, and it doesn’t affect all the files, even though they were all downloaded in one package. Anybody else have this problem? I am using BSPlayer, but this behavior also occured in Nero Showtime and other players. Any help would be greatly appreciated, as it took quite a while to dump the video files to the disk, and I would prefer not having to go through that again. Thanks in advance.

oh...I forgot to add...sometimes the files do open succesfully in GSpot and are of the correct size, the message the appears when they can’t be opened is something about a sector being encrypted and copy protection...what is going on here?

nope..again I was wrong, wasn’t opening the original file...anyway, the files in question seem to be reading ok when the DVD is loaded in the drive they were burned in, but this still doesn’t make sense. it’s the odd few files that don’t read correctly at certain points at the beginning, happened with another DVD I burned earlier as well. I burned the AVI files as a data DVD in the Burn at Once program. I have not changed the region or book-type setting for the burner (the defualt is DVD-ROM). Just got the DVD burner recently so I am fairly new to the world of DVD burning.

if its a dvd ur trying to copy...all dvd’s are protected...get dvd devryptor...takes out the protection..then get dvd shrink..will burn the dvd on to A dvd
