TopsyTurvy Guest | Try using DVD Santa rather than WinAVI. Both of them r quite the same xcept that DVD Santa convert n burn with it own built-in internal engine where WinAVI has 2 tied the knot with Nero.

Peter Guest | Yes, I think DVD Santa should be better, I download DVD santa and WinAVI Video converter from http://www.dvd-avi-mpeg.com/, DVD Santa is better.

TopsyTurvy Guest | Sorry. My correction 2 my precious thread. What I wanted 2 say is that DVD Santa burns the file after conversion n not like WinAvi where the converted file being save in a folder waiting 2 b burn.

bigo Guest | The problem is with DVDXCOPY Platinum. I had the problem and fixed it by isolating the offending .avi file and deleting it. You can also rename the mpeg2dmx.ax file to mpeg2dmx.bak that is located in the dvdxcopy platinum folder and the problem will stop but this also causes divx platinum to stop working. I suggest rounding up all the avi files on your machine sticking them in a folder. Set the view properties on the folder to not show thumbnails and drag them over one by one to a folder that shows thumbnails to find the offending file(s)and delete them.
hope it helps...

misosoup Guest | um... I just tested winAvi vs. DVD Santa and convertXtoDVD
winAVI is only one that converts .MOV format, but convertXtoDVD converts at 80 fps and winAVI converted at 50 fps.
This was done of a Intel Core Duo T2400 (1.83 Ghz 2x1Mb L2 Cache 1000 Mhz FS , 1 GB RAM, and 224 MB Intel 950 graphics chip set.

wchepesk Guest | I have merged several AVI movies into one DVD using WinAVI. Looks great, with each movie a separate Title. Plays O.K. on computer but when playing on home DVD player, only the first movie has sound. Remainder have no sound. I suspect it’s my DVD player that’s causing this but not sure. Anyone know?
Thanks!
