I tried winavi and it does work for making the audio_ts and video_ts folders which you only use the video_ts folder, but i noticed after i burnt the video_ts folder to a dvd and it works with no problem, but i notice when the movie is playing the faces in the movie and backgrounds all seem to go lighter than darker and then lighter again like light shade then darker shad
Yet the movie in avi form doesn`t do this, just does it after it has be converted, and also some times in the darker scenes the faces look like they are gettin a little green shade in them and then it goes away for a sec or two and does it again through the whole movie. What could be doing this to the light and dark shading in the movie, the only thing i noticed when i start winavi it says i need yje windows media codec 9x or higher, but i did get the codec for that and put it in and it still shows that i need this windows media codec. So if any of you fine people cuold give me any advice on what to do it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

PDK Guest | Once again, as per my earlier post. Download vso divx to dvd. It is free, it is simple, it works every time, it converts your downloaded movies to dvd format & adds chapters. Forget the other programs, this one works!

labish Guest | Hi guys a lot of hard work and is still not working eh? WinAvi before you start converting click on advanced and switch from automatic to NTSC standard same for DivX to DVD look for format and standard. If you left this on automatic and the movie is in Pal system might work on computer because a lot of players are Pal/NTSC but on your standalone dvd player may not.Mine is only NTSC and is not that old so check the setting before start converting. Here is the link for VSO: http://www.vso-software.fr/

labish Guest | Colin’s infos about how to do it is good and at the end is a good quality dvd but takes a life.TMPGenc is a good tool but on any old computer with a small RAM you may need a day to finish it.On my old computer HP only 900 MHz with 256 MB of RAM I was working only 12 hours for my first dvd but that was long time ago. Here you have most of the guides about “old style” making dvd: http://www.afterdawn.com/index-menu.cfm .If you get the video ts folder this is ready for burning using Nero is going to play for some time with and finally burn it so another hour or so.VOS Copy to DVD is the easy combination converting with VSO DivX to DVD check mark on burn with Copy to DVD and in 30 minutes depends by computer is done.Just try it.Here is VSO website: http://www.vso-software.fr/ Also Copy to DVD2 is fast just point for it the video ts folder and in about 4 minutes the dvd is done. You want to work as a pro with quality and subtitle and all the stuff use Colin’s post but is going to take more time. Here is a link for Copy To DVD2: http://www.slysoft.com/en/

Wannabe Rep: 0 Joined: 23 May 2005 Posts: 16 OFFLINE | If you have nero express than all you need to do is open your nero smart, choose make your own DVD video, than from that program import your file that you want and the rest you can just skip ( if you don’t want to bother with menues and shit)
The program has a great transcoder bilt in and It works great for me.
I do DVD’s from Divx , AVI, mpegs you name it.
Good luck
Oh and if you don’t have a DVD burner you need to do same but as a video cd and that may be a little tougher because you will need to slice your file in to mabye 3 depending on the size and compression.

Mike Guest | Download a pirated version of Sonic MyDVD Deluxe Suite 6.1. Create Menus with pics and audio. Converts avi files automatically to a playable dvd. I went through the same problems you guys did for about 6 yo 9 months. Once I found this software, never had another problem

MissL Guest | Okay, I know that there have been other posts, with about the same problem as I am havin.....But Im gonna ask again anyway.
I used WIN AVI Converter, and I think that it finished. ( it just said 100% done, please wait....for like an hour). In the folder, there are 3 files : WAV Audio, MPEG Media, and a dvd O folder. So what do I do now, to be able to burn them onto a DVD and be able to watch them on a DVD player?
I have Nero for burning, and YES I have a DVD burner, and DVD disks....
Someone please explain to me now, how I do the rest.....I would really appreciate any help. Ive been trying to do this for so long, and have gotten nowhere....This is the furthest I have ever gotten..and that ain’t too far!!! LOL
Thank again
U can just reply here, or email me at SecretStuff@cox.net

Cloud Strife Guest | Open the DVD_O folder and see that there are .VOB files in there. Open Nero select DVD, select all VOB files from folder and drag into Nero list, press next and burn. Still unsure? email me

Phoebe69 Guest | Does anyone know how I can burn 2 avi files to one DVD disk. I have downloaded a movie from the internet and it is in 2 parts, so I would like to burn it to 1 dvd so I can watch the whole movie at one without having to burn on 2 dvd disks. If anyone knows how to do this and would be happy to share this information it would be greatly appreciated.
I have winavi converter, and also DivX to DVD.
Thanx
