"1) Download and install DivXtoDVD (freeware) and DVD Shrink 3.2 (freeware). "

Is this actually freeware? it says that you can download and try before you buy..but that it will have a watermark on the finished dvd??
Is the watermark throughout the program?
I am starting to get frusterated with this process as well..it seems like 10times the pain trying to convert existing files to dvd..it almost makes me want to start from square one, and delete everything i’ve dowloaded and just back up the actual hard copies via dvdfabplatinum...anyone else used this program? its pretty awesome for backing up dvds. and the trial (30days) is the same as the actual version you would purchase. does anyone know of a program (freeware or otherwise) that you can simply “click and convert”(for a lack of a better term) your .divx and .avi files etc?

Hello Everyone,

It’s taken me ages to finally figure out how to burn AVI files on to DVD. I downloaded WinAVI Video Convertor from my Linewire. I made sure it had a product key with it. After it finished installing, I extracted all the files. I then installed the software using the serial key it came with.

There are various ways of converting all sorts of files on there. Try it.

Regards
Bonni

FORGET ALL THIS GARBAGE,,,

THE EASIEST METHOD IS TO GET A COPY OF “DVDSANTA” http://www.dvdsanta.com/divx-to-dvd.htm

DOWNLOAD THE FREE “Combine Community Codec” http://www.cccp-project.net

In DVDSANTA - click convert - 1 hour later...tada done!
